Farm paradise with home-baked goodies
By Elmer Schelde Thomsen
At Alstrupvej 1 it has been possible to buy buns and sausage rolls since the beginning of the Jamboree to the delight of both the initiator and the participants of Jamboree Denmark 2012. The famers market has been inundated with both Scouts, Guides and flexi camp residents, who have been stocking up with home-baked goodies both in the morning and in the evening. It has been a big success to serve all the happy and nice people, Louise and Henrik Sandholm explain.
In the farm yard small tables and chairs are placed, so one can enjoy the quiet in the middle of the Jamboree oasis.
The small farm residents William and Laurits, 4 and soon 2, have also been at camp. They have slept in a tent in their own garden. When we visited the family, the preparations to William’s birthday party had begun, so Maiken and Astrid Møller Thaysen, 6 and 7, were also invited to the camp in the garden to celebrate him.
