Participants

Jamboree Denmark 2012 is a camp for all guides and scouts in Denmark – both young and old.The jamboree is also for guests from Denmark and abroad.You need not be a scout or a guide to participate.We expect about 35,000 participants, 10% of them from other countries.

The jamboree is organised as a joint effort by the five internationally recognised guide and scout associations in Denmark:the Green Girl Guides of Denmark, the YMCA Scouts in Denmark, the Danish Guide and Scout Association, the Danish Baptist Guide and Scout Association and the Danish Guide and Scout Association of the Danish Minority in South Slesvig, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.

The objective is, however, that Jamboree Denmark 2012 will be a camp open also to many others besides the guides and scouts from these five associations.They could be Danish FDF companies or foreign Boys’ Brigade companies, after school programmes and anybody else who would like to experience for themselves the largest jamboree ever in Denmark.There will also be room for parents, brothers, sisters and grandparents – they choose whether to participant in the entire jamboree from 21 to 29 July 2012 or for just a few days.
