Holstebro - host city

Holstebro Muncipality will host Jamboree Denmark 2012. The jamboree will be located on the north-western outskirts of the city, by the local stadium (Idrætscenter Vest). It will be easy to access the city, along trails and small roads, using city busses and free public bicycles that the local government is planning to make available to the jamboree participants.

The local government has hired two consultants who will work with the jamboree organisation to organise the jamboree, also the city as such takes a profound interest in the jamboree, which will double the number of residents while it lasts.

The city of Holstebro has also appointed a Board of Governors for the jamboree. The Board comprises official stakeholders, such as the chief of police, head of tourism, mayor and head of emergency services. The Board convenes a couple of times a year up until the jamboree in order to be kept up-to-date with how the organising work is progressing.
